Not all who wander are lost
From The Oige Keane Memorial Wiki
Not all who wander are lost was a favorite phrase of Oige's. It comes from the poem by J.R.R. Tolkien, All that is gold does not glitter, which reads, in part,
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
and appears twice in the first book, The Fellowship of the Ring.
Oige expressed interest in becoming a wanderer and requested a wanderer's cloak (perhaps inspired by Aragorn or the Rangers) for Christmas, which his aunt Paddy made and gave to him.
Oige also owned a t-shirt from Life is Good that showed a pair of sandals and had the phrase below it which he often wore.
The saying was also present in Oige's Memorial Service. Additionally, someone placed a bumper sticker with the slogan on a post near the cattle guard where Oige's bicycle was found.
